Word of the Week: Messy

by Cammy on April 27, 2009

I love flickr and wasting my time getting lost in photos and creations from around the world. One of my favourite things to do with flickr is to choose a random word and search tags to see what will come up.

I thought it would only be fitting to search messy in honour of my first week on my new blog.

Here is what I found at flickr:

Messy

1. No Time Today 8/365, 2. DSC_0908, 3. A scribble frenzy., 4. Ghee I forgot ~, 5. Baby cakes evil, 6. Cupcake-56\365, 7. Productivity, 8. ‘cos paper alone is no fun, 9. change this place 16 X 20 original painting

And here is my interpretation:

Messy Kitchen

This is a reality in my house. Dirty dishes. Mr. Messy and I both hate doing them and they pile up quickly. After all, we eat every day.

I have tried Fly Lady and failed because I found that my sink was never empty enough to be shiny. Last fall we bought a dishwasher. In our kitchen cupboard space is precious realty. Sadly, the dishes were taking over our house so we sacrificed one cupboard. Has it helped? Well now we have a place to hide dirty plates, cups, and cutlery, but the sink is still full of pots, bowls and plastic containers.

I think I should have used the money we spent on a dishwasher to hire a maid.
