Free Template: Haunted Houses

An alternate title could be: In Need of Glue…Please Help!

So I had this great idea. I wanted to make some haunted houses to decorate our kitchen table. I decided to make three and I knew that I wanted to use Jen Wilson’s The Halloween Holiday Collection.

Just look at the luscious paper in this kit. It’s a classic set.

So I whipped up a couple of templates and printed them off. I was so excited!

The only problem is that I have been a digital scrapbooker for four years and stopped buying paper scrapbooking supplies a long time ago. How would I glue my houses together?

The first glue product I found was this glue stick that I bought at Walmart about five years ago.

Glue

Nice. Real nice.

So then I managed to find my all-time favourite glue. Back in the day I used this stuff on everything scrapbook related. I loved it so much that I always kept two bottles on hand.

Glue

Well that was fine and dandy until I glued each roof on the WRONG house. This stuff sticks like cement. I did manage to take each house apart before the glue set and with minimal damage. But then, as luck would have it, I had no more glue. I seriously could not squeeze out one tiny drop. I thought that I would have to resort to tape.

But way back in the depths of my desk I found a bottle of this:

Glue

Do you remember Club Scrap? I loved their kits. The only problem is that I still have a year’s worth of them and never used a single kit. So I was doubtful about this glue. I would guess that I have owned it for six years. But you know what? It worked perfectly. Score!

So here they are. My little haunted houses in their gluey glory.

And let me give you a helpful tip. Step away from the glue stick.
