Giveaway from RanchLady

by Cammy on November 2, 2009

Happy November! I hope that yours is off to a better start than mine. We got nine inches of snow on the evening of October 30th. On Halloween, I took Jacob to the cousins’ house for trick-or-treating and the roads scared me so bad that we came home right after. AND. And we had no trick-or-treaters. Not one. The roads were so terrible in my parts that us country folk stayed home. Talk about a lonely Halloween.

To turn this mood around, let’s have a giveaway!

Do you remember this?

Bandana Overlay

Well! The fabulous RanchLady took those bandana files and made some pretty incredible things.

Who is the RanchLady, you ask?

Catherine E. Suthard created a website at www.zazzle.com/RanchLady* originally to use the Zazzle site as a platform to jumpstart her career as an aspiring graphics artist.  That was two years ago.  Today, it’s one of the better known Country Western and Christian Country sites on Zazzle, recently choosen as one of Zazzle’s featured stores.  Catherine creates from her heart, growing up spending summers on her uncle’s ranch in Eastern Washington State and from her lifelong Christian influence.  Catherine says “ Some of the images used in my store are purchased for use from other sources, but I also do alot of my own vector images, and design and layout is so much fun for me.  Graphics make me happy… it’s one of my passions, and a gift from God, so I want to use it.  I hope it makes others happy too.”

Oh yes! RanchLady’s designs make me happy! She made this:

RanchLady-mug

Istn’t that the cutest mug. Nothing says country like a crisp, red bandana.

And she also made these:

RanchLady-keds

Is it wrong for me to want a pair of these in every colour of the rainbow? What can I say? I love me a pair of cute Keds. They just scream happiness.

And then. And then. And THEN the RanchLady spoke to the inner nerd in me and made this:

RanchLady-binder

I have a serious love for school supplies. Paper clips, staplers, hole punchers, paper in every size and colour. And binders. Oh how a love a good binder. A cute binder just takes me back to the fifth grade on the first day of school. The excitement. The possibilities. The passing of notes. Ah yes, I love a cute, happy binder.

Well, RanchLady was so generous to offer one of her fabulous binders as a prize to one lucky reader at Mrs. Messy.

And what better time to shop around her store for Christmas cards, calendars, and other great gifts?

I'm an nerd too- Staples office supply store is one of my favorite places to shop. To fight winter- I just grab a big mug of coffee and turn on the computer. Scrapbooking or blog hopping push thoughts of the cold outside away for at least a little while! Thanks bunches for the chance to win!

Fighting the winter blues is easy for me...I use my oven non-stop! I make enough Christmas cookies to give to everyone we know. Every year I remake old family recipes and try to work in a few new ones. The cookie dish is never empty and neither are everyone's tummies. Not to mention baking keeps the house so warm and cozy!
  • Hello, thanks for the opportunity!
Winter blues? Since my husband and I are photographers, I usually spend the
winter months photoshoping and editing and creating from the photos
we've taken all year. Now that I have a store on Zazzle, I'll be busy with that this winter.
  • Hi there, it's so nice to meet you. How I combat the winter blues! That's a hard one. I love designing, so I will be spending much of my time doing just that. When I'm designing, I'm not always aware of what else is going on, including the weather. I also take care of my elderly mother, who lives with us. Her silliness sometimes will perk me up. She has dementia and is hard of hearing, this house has a lot of very loud, repeated conversations. My g-kids are my pride and joy, they always lift me and keep me laughing. Life is good, I have everything I need and then some. Good luck with your contest, hope you have many entries. Vickie
